Hey everyone! The other day my little "spare time" blog, GildedNails clicked over the 500 follower mark! I am completely blown away by all the support I have received from my followers and the blogging community! When I started this blog I never thought I would reach 500 followers so quickly! But here I am just six months later!

Job searching

SOOOOOOOOOO...job searching.  The BIG deal about growing up.  Some people keep saying " omg it must be so easy for you" others are like " OMG this market is impossible".  and All I can think is shit...

So I graduated grad school this summer with a good and well known school in the field however its tiny and people outside of where i live have NO idea what it does.  But all the people in the school were like its an awesome school people will wnat you....blahblahblah.  

I guess it's kinda true.  I don't feel like I have experience but i think i can handle it.  I might even move to the big apple.  ITS GOONA BEEEEEE AWESOME!!!''

However there is one thing....will someone please find an iT job for my boy? I want him here :( but all his contacts are in Belgium...I want to help but i have no networks ...sad i want to live together

Weekend :D

Hi guys!!!

So my grad school decided to take us on a little cultural tour in Washington DC because more than 2/3's of our class is international.  So bascially the tour was a 3 hour bus tour and the rest of the weekend free with a paid two nights hotel in the financial district.  SWWWEEEET!

Ok sooooo first of all I had an AWESOME weekend in Washington DC.  Did I go site seeing? a little :D Did I go to any of the museums? NO! did I take a lot of pictures? NO! my camera died 4 hours after I got there.  But i did take a total of 20 hours of transportation, sleep a lot, get dehydrated at a bar in Georgetown, went for a swim in the smallest hotel pool ever and partied in Adam Morgan! oooo and finished a chicken soup for the women's soul :D

And as side note....whhy is everyone in Washington DC so freakin sweet?

To top it all off it was my 9 months anniversary with my HUBBY PIE MONKEY on Sunday!!! we spent the whole day on the train so we had to postpone celebrations till monday.  (and yes DAMN RIGHT i celebrate monthly anniversaries).

We went to the most awesomest restuarant called Blue Ginger (which is celebrity chef Ming Tsai's restuarant) and he surprised me with roses by stealing my car keys when I went to get ready to take a shower :D :D :D LOVEEEE!!!! Unfortunately I did not get to take pictures of the most awesomest salmon and beef carrparccio or the lobster fried rice or the mimsosa, or the avacado stuffed soft shell crab or the rack of lamb. Because I forgot the camera, and it looked so darn delicious even if i had a camera I wouldn't have remembered.  I did take a picture of the congradulation cookie that the waiter gave us (even though he was confused as to why a 9 month celebration would be so special).

So yes Enjoy the pictures :D I am EXTRA HAPPY!!!

My name is mimi. I don't know who will read this blog or if anyone will but i wanted to have a little documentation of life so I decided to do this. I can''t wait to read this when im fifty and telling my grandkids to read this because i can't actually remember anything :D

A bit about myself I'm a pretty regular girl in grad school and about to be thrusted into the real world. SCARy! I have a major passion for makeup and all things girly and I am extremely sensitive to commercial efforts to get me to buy= i will buy anything if it says SPECIAL, Limited EDITION, SALE. So in this blog I will talk about life, school, boys (as in one THE boy friend), make up, and shopping :D
